Whittington & Fisherwick Neighbourhood PlanEvolution not Revolution
Introduction and Vision
The Localism Act 2011 introduced Neighbourhood Planning as a way for the community to actively engage with the process of planning and policy making for their local area.
Whittington and Fisherwick Parish Council began the process by establishing the Parish Area with Lichfield District Council, following the publication of their Parish plan.
The Neighbourhood Plan (NP) aims to provide a set of statutory Planning policies for the development of the Parish over the life of the plan (15-20yrs).
- The Plan will reflect significant public consultation both with the local community, business, and facility providers and aims to represent the views of all as fully as possible.
- The Plan seeks to protect and enhance all elements of the Parish environment seeks to establish where development is most appropriate and set standards for the type and quality of such developments.
Our aim is to ensure a long term strategy for sustainable proper incremental growth sympathetic to the Parish heritage.
Our vision is that The Neighbourhood Plan will form the key stone for all future development in the Parish.
In accordance with the 2012 Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations (Regulation 14), the Draft Neighbourhood Plan is out to formal consultation for a period of 6 weeks from Monday 30th January to 5pm on Monday 13th March 2017.
